Treasure Trail Laid to the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy
A treasure trail has now been laid to the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA). The themed self-guided trails known as ‘Treasure Trails’ aim to get people outside to explore, learn and most importantly have fun in the natural environment.
Founded in 2005 on the UK’s South West shores, Treasure Trails has a large national following, with 38 writers contributing their specialist knowledge to highlight remarkable features across regions.
Treasure trails are now available from the WPNSA and are all relevant to the local community. This is a chance to discover by foot what treats are on the doorstep of the 2012 Olympic sailing venue.
A chance to entertain younger members of the family or simply to immerse yourself in local legends and tales whilst friends or relatives are afloat, the Treasure Trail series are an ideal escape from everyday life in an area renowned for its rustic beauty.
With each trail taking around 2 to 3 hours to complete including a full guide to mileage and accessibility for push chairs and wheel chairs, the written material is user friendly and informative.
A unique way to spend time on site at the Sailing Academy; Treasure Trail packs are available from display units throughout the venue.
